Duties: Maintain, repair, replace restore, remove relocate and do any maintenance which is necessary for the proper and continuous operation and maintenance of all facilities of Montana Tech. This includes: trouble shooting, maintaining and installing any electrical pertaining to the operation and maintenance of the campus buildings and equipment. Maintain, repair, replace, restore, remove and relocate any plumbing systems including toilets, sinks, urinals, hot water tanks, showers, etc. This also includes distribution of hot and cold water lines, drain waste, vent lines, steam supply, return lines, pumps, steam traps, valves, glycol systems, and compressors. Maintain and repair all HVAC systems to include motors, controls, coils, lubrication, filters, belts, and all controls and wiring.
Interpret and apply blue print specifications, control diagrams and maintenance manuals. Responding to and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Welding, repair and fabrication of metals. This position also covers operation of Heating Plant on a consistent basis. Maintain and repair all exterior area lighting. Startup maintenance and shut down of all cooling towers and systems. Required to work rotating shifts.
