Operates equipment such as mowers, powered weed trimmers, pick-ups, ATVs, chainsaws, power and hand tools. Performs landscaping activities that include mowing, tree pruning, hazardous tree/sagebrush removal, irrigation and general care and planting of lawns, shrubs and trees to provide the site with safe and appropriate vegetation to reduce weed problems. This work includes the use of chain saws, pruning saws, mowers, tractors, weed trimmers and backhoe. Perform weed control efforts including chemical, biological, and mechanical controls as a licensed applicator (or ability to obtain). Coordinates with Maintenance Supervisor to track and report weed maintenance activities for the annual weed report. Comprehensive weed control efforts may include specialized training and work in chemical use, hydrogeology, and wetland management and permitting.
