Cabinetry Manager

Description:

Earth Elements Design Center is looking for a Cabinetry Manager to join our team in Gallatin Gateway, Montana. The Cabinetry Manager is responsible for the oversight of production in the cabinetry shop to ensure that the organization is operating efficiently and meeting the expectations and needs of the clientele.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategy implementation to generate new business and maintain existing relationships with clients, ensuring all work is completed in a correct, cost-effective, and timely manner in alignment with quality requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Examining job costing as related to projects to ensure production is meeting timelines and budget requirements
  • Planning and reviewing budgets to manage costs and increase profitability
  • Oversight and completion of invoicing and scheduling for shop production and installation
  • Communication and interaction with EEC clientele from beginning of the project to the installation of the project
  • Receiving escalated matters for review and resolution
  • Scheduling and leading weekly production meetings to review schedules, timelines, processes, etc.
  • Responsible for overall quality control and assurance for cabinetry projects
  • Final inspection of projects prior to the final assembly and installation
  • Acting as a liaison with multiple departments in Earth Elements to ensure fit and finish
  • Complete field measurements for new projects, as needed
  • Generating drawings using AutoCAD, as needed
  • Generating conceptual designs and shop drawings for review and approval by clientele, as needed
  • Review all completed project drawings and processes with the Sr. Project Engineer for approval prior to disseminating to the shop
  • Approving finish samples prior to finishing
  • Coordinate with the Sr. Project Engineer and Shop Foreman to filter processes and procedures through to Team Leads and assigned team members
  • Acts as a resource to sales team for opportunities and estimates
  • Coordinates with Marketing and Sales Development teams in the development of marketing plans and implementation of campaigns
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling sales development personnel; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities
  • Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided
  • Answers questions from the showroom and assists with complaints
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, and service changes; surveying client needs and trends; tracking competitors
  • Manages client relations with Builders, Designers and Architects for the division
  • Reviews ongoing performance results to targets for the 3rd party sales team and works to develop solutions or implements processes to support an increase in targets and goals
  • Participates in developing and updating safety policies and procedures as it relates to the shop
  • Maintains a safe work environment and notifies the appropriate parties of any safety or maintenance issues that need to be addressed
  • Notifies the HR Manager of any work-related incidences to ensure that proper safety procedures are followed
  • Supervises the Sales team, Sr. Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Shop Foreman, and Purchasing roles directly and the Engineering and Shop teams indirectly
  • Directs and/or assists in the performance of tasks as needed
  • Trains personnel in the performance of assignments, responsibilities and expectations of Earth Elements Cabinetry
  • Reviews projects prior to transport to finishing and post-finish for quality control purposes
  • Interviews, hires, and manages performance of supervisees

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, required
  • 7 years minimum of project development/management experience, required
  • 5 years of supervisory experience, required
  • 2-3 years of sales experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of cabinetry, box construction, solid wood joinery, carpentry and veneer work, required
  • Experience using sliding table saw, shaper, jointer, planer, routers, etc., required
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision or related software, required
  • Lean certification, preferred
  • Organized, responsible, enthusiastic, and timely with a strong work ethic, desired
  • Must be able to communicate with a variety of internal and external sources
  • Clean driving record, able to meet insurability qualifications
