Description:

Job Description: Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. is seeking an Availability Execution Support (AES) professional to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in execution availability processes. The AES will analyze Condition Found Reports (CFR) and potential Request for Contract Change (RCC) growth during ship repairs, applying lessons learned to improve work specifications and planning efforts.

Job Requirements/Skill Sets:

  • Collaborate with the RMC Project Manager and team to define objectives.
  • Research CFRs and RCCs to assess issues and assist the Government Maintenance Team (MT) in determining necessary actions.
  • Review work items for technical accuracy based on contractor submissions.
  • Analyze availability data to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Document Lessons Learned and manage the Execution Support Lessons Learned Applied (ESLLA) tracker.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain communication with the Government MT to prevent unnecessary RCCs.
  • Prepare training alerts based on identified growth patterns and common errors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • A minimum of 4 years in shipbuilding trades and managerial roles related to ship repair is required.
  • 5 years of experience in work specification development is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • OSHA-10 Certification required.
  • Familiarity with the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) and ship maintenance practices is preferred.

Education Requirements: A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or science field and successful completion of naval technical training schools such as the Naval Academy, a Merchant Marine Academy, Military Class “A” or “C” school, or Apprentice Program is preferred.

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible for and be able to maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance. Must be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
