Description:

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital / Galen.

This position will provide janitorial services to maintain Galen, a Forensic Mental Health Facility building in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting within the facility; restocking supplies and maintaining inventory of supplies.; and checking areas for safety hazards such as broken glass and disposing of appropriately.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

* General knowledge of janitorial procedures/techniques and operating various pieces of cleaning equipment such as high-speed buffer, vacuum, and carpet / upholstery machines.

* Ability to be comfortable working around mentally ill and security risk patients.

* Ability to understand and follow directions while maintaining a friendly attitude.

* Ability to work co-operatively with others and protect patients' rights and confidentiality.

* Meet minimum qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED

* One year janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred.
