New Hire Bonus:

• Receive a bonus equal to 3% of your first year's earnings after your one-year anniversary with MPP.

Job Summary:

Work in either Purchasing or Customer Service. Demonstrate strong knowledge of purchasing and sourcing concepts and principles to support the purchasing and materials functions. Interface between Customers, Suppliers and the internal divisions.

Schedule:

• Tuesday - Friday 6:00AM - 4:30PM OR Monday - Friday 8:00PM - 4:30PM
• Candidate will be given the option to choose which of the two schedules above works best for them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares purchase orders in Epicor software.
• Manages orders with suppliers, monitors backlog and weekly order status report, adjusts schedules as needed, manage/modify POs with overdue shipments and open orders.
• Manages new vendor set up processes, including quoting components
• Maintains data on ERP system that supports purchasing processes
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers
• Review supplier performance including supplier surveys and scorecards
• Works with key suppliers to improve On Time Delivery (OTD) and Quality metrics
• Liaise with planners to control scheduling of parts to ensure stock levels meet demands while staying within stock level buffers
• Supports the Materials Department processes related to inventory, shipments, and other activities as needed.
• Communicates with Suppliers and Customers both written and verbally
• Reviews Customer PO's, contract reviews, NPI's, etc.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

• At least two years' experience with Microsoft Outlook or applicable virtual communication platforms.
• One or more years direct experience with Excel
• One or more years with direct customer service experience
• Ability to read, write, speak English
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must pass pre-employment requirements, including background check and drug screen

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with an enterprise resources planning (ERP) software
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Word programs
• Manufacturing background preferred
• Provides excellent customer service
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
